In the color coated production line, the connection method of steel strip are mainly use mechanical suture and welding.
Mechanical suture machine is a special steel stamping machine that connects the tail of the former steel strip with the head of the latter steel strip. The principle of suture is that, the steel strip in upper and lower two layers are first punched out shear mark with a certain shape, and then make it dislocate through the tension of the steel, so as to achieve the connection effect of the front and rear steel strip.
The welding methods of steel strip adopted in color coated production line are mainly resistance welding and lap welding two methods. Resistance welding is a kind of inflating welding method. Compress the steel strip, and at the same time, directly power on the strip. Utilize the heat generated by the resistance of strip itself and the lumped resistance of the contact surface, make the strip melting and then welding together.
Lap welding is the accumulation of intermittent spot welding, rotating welding wheel will instead of cylindrical electrodes in spot welding during roller welding. The welding wheel rolls forward on the welded strip by means of a motor. When the electric current intermittent or continuous through the weldment by welding wheel, then will form a continuous weld.
Welder equipment has high prices and long welding time, the equipment also covers a large area. Therefore, including CAMELSTEEL, most of the color coating units adopt mechanical suture machine to deal with the seam. Suture machine mainly has the following advantages:
1. The joints are even and clean. Equipment prices is low and easy to operate. Also has a small floor space.
2. It can stitch different materials and metal strip that is difficult to weld.
3. It can punching and riveting quickly, the whole process can be completed within 6 s.
4. According to the tension of different sizes required by the strip production line, staff can use single row, double row or multiple rows suture.
5. It can riveting together with the their own incision of two volumes of steel without additional materials or consumables. Therefore, the running costs are less.
